I bought this for my eleven year old daughter's room. I installed it under the crown moulding and around a tall free standing bookshelf and around door casings. This was easy to install partially because the strand wire feels almost like its made out of a twist tie where you can shape it a bit and it stays. Fairly light when installing. Scotch tape should work although I was having some difficulty of this tape sticking on higher gloss trim -- I remember scotch tape being more sticky as a kid.I did not use this outside so I can't comment on that use. The bulbs are very bright and the remote has many options for patterns and brightness as well.One tip -- make sure you get the amount you actually need. I feel like 200 ft was overkill as I went around the room and bookshelf and still needed to use up the reel. I did it by framing the casing on her door as well as bathroom door -- both sides of her entry door. I think it looks cool but I primarily did that to use up the lights.Great product for the money -- very bright and many options for pattern and brightness. Would recommend.
