Great lights. The purple is not a deep purple. more like a pinkish purple.Well they lasted about a year outside in the tropics ,so no cold weather but lots of humidity , not sure if that is good or not. Now 1/2 of 2 strings are out . Tried replacing fuses and checking bulbs no luck , but I did find a bulb that had shorted out and actually melted the little green socket ,seems like that could be dangerous in a dryer climate .I wanted the “purple” lights to go with the orange lights for Halloween, but they will not work for that task.… However they work wonderfully with light pink tinsel as contrast.I bought the “orange” lights also, for during fall. Orange lights do not show orange but yellow.Both were quite disappointing.These lights are really pretty. It came in two strands, but the colors are very vivid. I’m using them for Halloween.The color is perfect but bulbs seem to just fall out. This happens more than expected, about 10X since the April ‘22 purchase. The entire string goes out when a bulb falls out. I use this outside so wind and maybe birds move the string around to cause the lost bulbs. I salvaged one string for spare bulbs after that one stopped working. Maintenance of replacing burned out bulbs is more than expected. My next purchase like this will be the kind of light string with the tabs on the socket that helps lock the bulbs in. I keep using this product because the light color is terrific. That part is exactly right.I was expecting a purple that I have in other Christmas lights. One that makes you feel happy. I did not use these. My son says they look like a gloomy Halloween purple.I buy these often. Often because they don't last very long. Price is OK
