Like most husbands out there, I have been avoiding putting up Christmas lights for years. The reason is because i don’t want to have to take it down in just a few weeks. It’s a pain in the butt and it takes electricity. But this year my wife finally got me to do it, somehow. We headed to our local Home Depot in mid December, to our disbelief there was absolutely nothing left, and I mean nothing! Apparently many People love to decorate their lawn with lights and expensive props. My wife was in shambles, we then checked Lowe’s, but then the same story. My wife was gonna kill me for waiting four years after buying our house, and then the time I finally said yes, they were all sold out. I told her I would find something on amazon to comfort her at the store. I came home and did a quick search! To be honest this item had some okay reviews and looks like it was a 50/50. I took a chance on it... 1 week later it arrived... and BAMMM, it was amazing! It’s not a long as the photo show it to be, but who cares, the wife was happy! These lights saved my Christmas of 2020. The different modes made it look fancy! As of today, 2/27/21, they are still up on the gutter. My hope is that they will stay there till Christmas if 2021.I purchased 5 sets of these lights to use in decorating my church for the holiday season. We used them up on the stage behind the worship team suspended from trussing that was already there.I found them to be super easy to connect together, durable, and to omit enough light to create the effect I was going for. The stars are made out of a thick clear plastic, which I think if I had used them in a display that was closer to people's visual might come off a bit cheapy. But from a distance they look great.We did find the remote control to be pretty much useless. We had a heck of a time getting the lights to just stay on and then we really couldn't figure out how to know if the timer was on working or not, so I just had to check it over a few days to see if they ever went off. They never have. Additionally, unless you plug these in in a location that you can readily access, the remote has no purpose as it has to have a clear line of vision to the plug where the little sensor is. We hung these way up high in the air and therefore the plug was nowhere in view.Lastly, I completely agree with others that the lights came in a horrible tangled mess. Luckily there was a group of us, so we each took a strand and had a moment of meditation before we began. I certainly will be tying them up differently for storage when the season is over.Overall, a good product for the price for sure!I really love these lights. These lights lift your mood. It really helped me find peace through a rough time. I got them December last year and they stopped working. It’s June now. I had bought 2 and the same thing happened to the one in my daughters room. It’s like you have to play with the cord a certain way to make it work. Kind of like when you need a new charger. Maybe it’s a short or something. :( I want to reorder but I don’t want to be buying these every 6 months. In the video it asks for remote control rating. I didn’t even know it came with one!FAST delivery with Amazon (2 days). Lights will be tangled when they come out of the box. I suggest that you plug in lights to test lights before untangling. Mine worked fine. Once you know they work, begin to untangle the lights starting at the end you will put up first. Do this in the warmth of your home, then take outside and begin to hang the lights - untangling more as you go. It took me about 10 minutes to untangle the first 10 feet of lights. Untangling is much faster as you have less lights to untangle. I have 60 foot of roof, so I bought two 33 foot lights. With 66 feet of lights I ended up with about 2 extra feet since the lights have some slack when placed on the roof's gutter. Don't forget to purchase clips to hang on roof. Cool White looks great. Overall very pleased with purchase.I bought this to set up a party room for a bar crawl for a 21st birthday. I was actually pleasantly surprised with this product. It was as large as expected and as bright and useful as expected we ended up taping it to the wall. Now that I read the description, I don’t recall seeing a remote but I’m gonna have to check the boxes. It lights up really nice so much so that my daughter wants to hang it in her bedroom. It can be used for basically any holiday or just to kind of jazz up the atmosphere in your home. I think if you were to group a bunch together you would have a huge lighted wall. I like how each strand was spaced apart though. I would definitely buy this again. Mine is white lights.
